Campmeeting comes to a close…

Sunday, October 18th, 2009

We have just ended our 5th Fall Campmeeting.  We want to thank all the pastors and evangelists, singers, musicians and friends that came to help us have such a wonderful campmeeting.  Thank you to the ladies of Victory Temple Church for feeding us such a wonderful meal each day and thank you to the wonderful pastor, Sister Austin, for being such a gracious host to all the visitors from out of town.  We so appreciate the Temples from Louisiana coming to help with music, the Testers from Elizabethton, TN, the Hooks from Alabama, the Sisums from Georgia and the Wades from Alabama.  Each minister brought such an on-time word for the people.   Each singer and musician brought an anointed, heart felt song to touch our hearts.  We so appreciate our friends from Memphis, old friends from Georgia transplanted to TN, all our local friends from previous years and to all the new friends we have just met this year.  Thank you for making this Campmeeting such a wonderful success!

We always look forward to our campmeetings throughout the year…it is such a reunion, refreshing, refilling time.  We are thankful for the reports of several healings that took place during the meetings and many lives changed from a season of darkness into great light!  God has been so good to us again this year.

We want to be so thankful for all He did this week!  We look forward to seeing you at our South Carolina Campmeeting in December in Langley, SC.

Pray for Loretta

Sunday, October 18th, 2009

Loretta from Shepherd’s Field in Alabama was been hit by an 18 wheeler.  She is in the trauma center at UAB hospital.  She has 3 broken ribs, broken leg, top of left foot, ankle and all around her toes are broken, contusion of the brain, chest contusion but she is coherent and communicating.  Then this morning I received a second text message that they have discovered that one of her twin sons and her niece has swine flu.  We are receiving information from her brother, the pastor on a daily basis.  Please join with us to pray for Loretta, her son and niece.  We are praising God today that Loretta survived the crash but needs a miracle healing in her body.  I will keep you updated on her condition.  Thank you to all our prayer partners!

Campmeeting is up and running!

Friday, October 16th, 2009

We are in day number 3 of our Fall Campmeeting and God is moving in such a great way!  There is a special presence of the Lord in these meetings and this year is no different.  There has been such deliverance in the meetings…my heart is stirred for what God has in store for us!  Then it is always so refreshing to meet together with our friends from all over Tennessee, Alabama and Louisiana.  If you are near this area (30 miles below Jackson), you will want to be a part of this Fall Campmeeting.  See our Campmeeting page for all the details!

Surgery is over & Kay is fine!

We received a text message from Molly today.  Kay came through surgery fine…doctors said it went great!  Thank you Jesus for watching over our friend!  Thanks to all of those who joined with us in prayer.

Praise Report for Kay!

Thursday, October 8th, 2009

We just got a call from Jerry and Kay has had her colonoscopy and it is an all clear.  They will now decide on when to have the bypass surgery.  She was looking much better this morning and we are praising God for this great report.  Thank you for your prayers!  I will keep you updated so please keep her in your prayers until we reach the end of this.

Update on Kay

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

We visited Kay tonight.  They are doing upper/lower GI test tomorrow.  They have found 4  arteries 90% blocked, and 1 artery 99% blocked.  They will do open heart surgery after her other tests come back.  Join with us in praying for Kay….I know these blockages can shrink….just like they did for Barry a few weeks ago.  His went from 85% to 50% in 2 days.  He is still the same God working for Kay.  We are believing for a good report with her GI tests also.  We will keep you updated.  Thank you for your prayer of agreement.

Prayer for Kay

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

We just received word that Kay Goode is in the hospital having tests run for her heart and upper/lower GI tests.  We are going by there before going home since we are in NC now and have prayer with her.  Please be in agreement with Ronnie and I…the Goode’s have been our friends for a long, long time.  We are believing all her tests will return with a good report!

Why is the sky blue?

Saturday, October 3rd, 2009

The presence of the Lord was so powerful in our meeting tonite.  We walked in such unity…in each song, testimony…everything laying a foundation for the word God had put on my heart this afternoon.  One testimony that stirred my heart was this…why is the sky blue or the grass green? Blues and greens are known to be calming colors and God in His love for us surrounded us with blues and greens knowing we walk in a world filled with trouble.

Have you ever noticed the quiet, solitude during a heavy snow…the blanket of calm that falls upon the earth….or listened to the sound of soft rain.  He has prepared all of this for YOU!  In this midst of such hustle and bustle with stress and troubles on every side…look up to His blue sky…walk through His green grass…sit on the porch and listen to the sound of rain…and this winter when it snows…hear the sound of complete quiet…and THANK GOD FOR WATCHING OVER YOU!  He just wants us to notice and be thankful.  I remember the morning after I was off drugs and had given my heart to Jesus…the sky was bluer and the grass greener than I ever remember.  I want to notice it again now!  Thank you Jesus for blue sky.
