Come and quench this thirsting of my soul…

Tuesday, August 24th, 2010

Dew falls at night on grass that has pores open to receive it’s nourishment before the heat of another day.  On stormy, windy nights there is no dew.  It falls on cool quiet nights…in the stillness of the night.

Sheep can survive for months without going to a brook as long as they rise early or feed during the night when the grass is heavy with dew.  The dew will sustain them until the rain comes!

In the wilderness the dew left manna for Israel until they reached their promised land.  In our wilderness the dew of His presence leaves the manna that sustains us until our break through comes!

I am thankful for the visitation of His dew in the stillness of the night that leaves me filled with the Bread of His Word….a Word that will sustain me until my rain comes!

Thank God for friends….

Saturday, August 21st, 2010

We are returning to an area today where we have been ministering for over 20 years.  I always get excited to see old friends, return to places we have been to eat, see old sites and worship with our friends one more time.  Every visit I am reminded we are all getting older…some have gone on to be with the Lord…some battling sickness, loss, great storms and moving slower than a year before…but always the same…GREAT LOVE BETWEEN FRIENDS THAT LOVE TO WORSHIP JESUS TOGETHER!

My heart is filled with anticipation of what He has in store for us this weekend!  What a great opportunity to be called to carry His Word and what a great body of believers He has sent across our path!

God has been so good….

Wednesday, August 18th, 2010

We have had such amazing meetings in the weeks since Campmeeting.  It seems we turned a corner or stepped into a new day this year.  We have had weekly reports of souls being saved, prodigal sons and daughters coming home, many still being filled with the Holy Ghost…not just in our meetings…but we are receiving reports from many churches and pastors with the same report!  God is smiling on us and I am so thankful to be a part of such a great day to be serving the Lord!  Looking forward to seeing you again real soon in one of our meetings!

“He leads me beside still waters….”

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

Sheep are made up of 70% water. It is used to maintain normal body function, maintain health, strength and vitality. Lack of water creates weakness.  Sheep are made aware of their lack of water or dehydration by their thirst. THIRST indicates NEED of the body to have their water supply replenished by a source outside itself.  I am thirsty not for water but to drink from His fountain.  His promise to us is…”those who hunger and thirst shall be filled”.  FILL ME LORD…I THIRST FOR YOU!

Life is good…

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

I see these tshirts and other things with this quote…”Life if good”. I must say tonite as I am writing…all I can think of is…Life is good! We are in revival in west Tennessee..having an outpouring of the Holy Ghost. We have friends coming to join us for revival, helping us…singing, praying, preaching, worshipping… The presence of the Lord fills the room…deliverance comes to many, joy fills the house and we are caught up in His presence for a time! When service is over and I return to my vehicle…I have a text message from my niece, who I love and want to see give her life to the Lord so bad…she says “call me first…your niece Jessica, 911! As soon as I heard her voice I knew something had changed! Thank you Jesus….no other way to make such a wonderful night even greater but that phone call! I love you Jessica! Welcome Home…Life is good.

Happy Memorial Day…

Saturday, May 29th, 2010

Memorial Day is such a special time… I am so proud to be an American… so proud of our military and our veterans… so thankful to live in a free nation… Taking a little time to remember and say thank you! I am thankful for my nephews who served in the Army and Air Force…spent time in Japan for 3 years then to DC for 3 more years, another one in Iraq for a year while his wife raised their new twins…and then I never spend a Memorial Day that I am not thankful for my Dad who served in WWII/Korean Conflict…he loved his country. I am proud to be his daughter and thankful he has instilled in me a great love for my country and our military. Take some time this weekend while you travel, cookout, camp, shop and visit with family to remember how this is all possible…someone is on the watch for us…

Thank God for the example of our Mothers!

Monday, May 10th, 2010

“The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things: that they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste…”

What a beautiful example of our Mothers today and what we are to reach for as we become an example in our later years. I remember when I was following the example of the elder women in the church and now I receive compliments that younger women are following my example! Our life is an open book and I am thankful they can follow us as we follow Jesus Christ! This is a great charge as women of the gospel to watch our words, our actions, how we treat, speak, walk and deal with our every day life! I want to be an example of the Proverbs 31 woman and be an example to those coming along after me!

Spring Family Retreat…

Saturday, April 3rd, 2010

We just ended our Spring Family Retreat with great success!  We are so thankful to all our pastors, evangelists, musicians, singers and friends who joined us for such a power packed weekend.  The services were filled with His presence and deliverance came to the houses of God…for we are His temple!  The singing was filled with praises, the word was brought forth with power and the altar services were breathed upon by His Spirit!  We went in one way and left another way…walking out of our tombs of depression, discouragement, emptiness, sorrow of heart and walking into His divine presence!  Thank God for His visitation this weekend!  We love you…thank you for being a part of this meeting!

The Lord is my Shepherd…

Friday, March 26th, 2010

The Lord is my Shepherd…

…is on Sunday and still is on Monday….is in January and still is in December…is at home and is on foreign soil…is in times of peace and still is in times of war…is in abundance and still is in times of want.

He leads me and He guides me.  He watches over me…our Lord neither slumbers nor sleeps…His eyes are forever upon the righteous!  I am safe in His arms…He undergirds me and has a purpose for my life…knows my end from my beginning.  Thank God for my Shepherd!

Wait on the Lord…

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

“the Creator…faints not, neither is weary…He gives power to the faint and to them that have no might, he increaseth strength. Even the youth shall faint and be weary and young men shall utterly fall.  But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run & not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.”  Teach me Lord to wait…

Happy New Year!

Friday, January 1st, 2010

“But the land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the rain of heaven: a land which the Lord thy God careth for: the eyes of the Lord thy God are always upon it, from the begtinning of the year even unto the end of the year.”  Deut 11:11, 12

This is so true a story of what has been behind us and what lies ahead.  It is a journey of hills and valleys.  A journey the Lord cares for and His eyes are forever upon His seed from the beginning of the year to the end.  My confidence today is that I will face nothing this year that He will not be with me to carry me through to the other side.

I pray 2010 will be a great year for you….great in health, happiness, prosperity, peace, joy and the love of friends and family!

I lost a friend today…

Monday, December 28th, 2009

I lost a good friend today.  Mary Sorrells has been my friend for many years.  We have stayed in her home…ate at her table…held home prayer meetings in her living room…cried together and laughed together…shopped for ladies retreat door prizes together…shared our hearts together.  Sunday night at 8:20 she moved to a new city…she now lives in my fondest memories…in my heart…I will miss her…

Thank God for His season!

Thank God for a stable….and wise men….and shepherds seeing a star….for a baby born of a virgin!  Thank God for Jesus!

Snow is coming!

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

We are scheduled to be in Millers Creek (near Wilkesboro), NC this weekend.  However, they are calling for 6-10 inches of snow in that area so we are waiting to hear from our pastor…possibly going to postpone until later time.  Watch for our update tonight or in the morning whether it is off or on.

They are also calling for snow here on Saturday…not quite as much though.  Christmas is definitely here!  Watch for our next post!

Merry Christmas!

Wednesday, December 16th, 2009

We are on our way home today…stopped in Pigeon Forge to finish shopping.  I am finished!  Now to a little wrapping, some hot cocoa with marshmallows and Christmas music…all we need now is snow!  I love this time of year.  I pray you are having a wonderful, merry, merry Christmas countdown!  Don’t forget the reason of this season.  Because He lives…I now live also.  Thank you Jesus and Happy Birthday.

We have opened an account on Facebook

Saturday, December 12th, 2009

We started a page on Facebook this week.  I will probably not be writing much on there…I like my blog.  We will use facebook to post our schedule and upcoming meetings.  If you are on facebook and want to stop by our page, type in Becky Trammell.  This is a new experience for me…please bear with me as I learn the ropes.

Web site down!

Monday, December 7th, 2009

Thank you for being patient with us during our web site difficulty.  I received calls and emails letting me know we had a problem but unfortunately I could not blog…no site!  Our address was sending everyone to a document shredding company in Boone, NC on Friday and Saturday.  I must admit it was an awful feeling not being able to get to our site or go to the blog to let you know we were working on the problem.  At any rate, we are back and hopefully up to par.

We are preparing for our South Carolina Campmeeting this week with Mike and Cecil.  Ronnie and I are in Florida in 75 degree weather and my Mom just emailed snow at my house.  I have both summer and winter clothes in my vehicle just in case.

We just finished our meetings for last week and the Lord visited in a special way.  I am so thankful for His presence, His touch and His voice.  I can’t help but think of the blind climber who reached the summit on Mt Everest.  He said..”I listen to the sound of space around me: sound vibrations are constantly bouncing off objects and coming back at us.  You can hear the sound of open space and closed space.  When I’m near a drop off, I can hear it!”  If he can train his ear to hear and keep him safe on top of Mt Everest…we can learn to hear His voice and walk safely in this world!  I want to hear Him!

Thankful

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day with my family….lots of food, cooking, laughing and fellowship.  My Mom is doing good…she has a place on her leg where she closed the car door and tore the skin.  It is not healed yet after 3 weeks but is slowly improving.  Pray with me she will have no problems and no pain with this until it is completely healed.

We had entirely too much food and I ate entirely too much!  It was a perfect day being with family.  I pray you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I have much to be thankful for.

My back is much better.  The brace is off and I can look down to see my feet again.  We are not totally out of the woods but so much better than before.  Thank you for all your prayers. We are still receiving reports of healings from the Ladies Retreat…be sure to check the Ladies Retreat category for updates.  God has been so good to us this year!  We are extremely thankful for our family and friends.  Looking forward to seeing you again real soon!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thursday, November 26th, 2009

I pray you all have a blessed Thanksgiving Day!  I am with my family and we are having turkey, ham, home made egg noodles, scalloped oysters, cornbread & sausage dressing, green beans, candied yams, brussel sprouts, corn pudding, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, deviled eggs, bacon & cream cheese pinwheels, banana pudding, pumpkin pie, apple pie and ice cream, pumpkin roll!  We have a tendency to go a little over board!  Wish you were here.  Enjoy your family.  Be thankful for life.  Hope to see you soon.  Becky

Why is the sky blue?

Saturday, October 3rd, 2009

The presence of the Lord was so powerful in our meeting tonite.  We walked in such unity…in each song, testimony…everything laying a foundation for the word God had put on my heart this afternoon.  One testimony that stirred my heart was this…why is the sky blue or the grass green? Blues and greens are known to be calming colors and God in His love for us surrounded us with blues and greens knowing we walk in a world filled with trouble.

Have you ever noticed the quiet, solitude during a heavy snow…the blanket of calm that falls upon the earth….or listened to the sound of soft rain.  He has prepared all of this for YOU!  In this midst of such hustle and bustle with stress and troubles on every side…look up to His blue sky…walk through His green grass…sit on the porch and listen to the sound of rain…and this winter when it snows…hear the sound of complete quiet…and THANK GOD FOR WATCHING OVER YOU!  He just wants us to notice and be thankful.  I remember the morning after I was off drugs and had given my heart to Jesus…the sky was bluer and the grass greener than I ever remember.  I want to notice it again now!  Thank you Jesus for blue sky.

911…We will never forget!

Saturday, September 12th, 2009

Tonight after traveling all day to get home from our last meeting, we sat down to watch the news in our own living room.  I had forgotten the date….as we have been on the road for the last nine days.  I watched the reenactment of the attack on the twin towers and remembered watching the news that morning, drinking coffee when we watched it unfold before our eyes.  I remember the unsettling feeling that we, as a nation, was in trouble like our generation had never seen.  For days, I was glued to the updates of what had happened and who was responsible.  I will never forget where I was and what I was doing on that day.

Tonight watching that report and hearing reporters proclaim over and over…we will never forget, it reminded me of another story.  The Lord told Joshua…send one man from each tribe back into that Jordan river and pick up a stone.  Carry that stone on your shoulder to the place where you will lodge tonight and put them in a heap.  For every generation that follows you when they see these stones and say…what means these stones…you will say, this is where the Lord brought us through the Jordan River out of the desert and delivered us from Egypt’s bondage…see you never forget!

I will never forget 911.  I will never forget how God delivered His people out of the bondage of Egypt.  I will never forget that one day I was a slave to narcotic drugs, alcohol and a hopeless life…and He came down my old dusty road and delivered me!  I am a product of what He did in my life…and I will never forget!
