Harvest Praise filled with Praise!

Sunday, November 15th, 2009

We just finished the Harvest Praise concert with  Faith of God Ministries in Walkertown, North Carolina.  We so enjoyed the great music and singers all day Saturday.  They had delicious barbeque with fixins and desserts and such wonderful fellowship!

It was so great  to see Kay again.  You will remember praying for her a month ago…she had open heart surgery and was on our blog for several days.  She is doing so much better…was able to be at the concert the entire day and back this morning for worship service.  God has been so good to the Goode family and all of us that love her!

We want to thank everyone that worked so hard at the concert and came out to our revival Thursday and Friday.  We enjoyed our stay and being in the presence of the Lord with His sons and daughters.  God bless.

We did it!

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

Well, we did it!  Our first outdoor Pickin in the Park concert went off without rain….well a little rain.  We had an excellent turnout…somewhere around 350 according to the tickets we gave out.  The food was delicious…even though I didn’t get a chili dog…according to the survey cards.  Everyone sang so great and worked so well together.  It was a wonderful concert with much food, fun and fellowship.

We are so thankful to all our friends and family that came to be a part and to support Ronnie’s new undertaking.  We have such a wonderful group of pastors, evangelists, singers, musicians and friends.  We also have some of the hardest working friends that step up to the plate wherever the need arises.  We worked all day Friday getting the stage set up and preparing the shelter house.  Then at 7am we started again.  This was without a doubt the  most difficult thing we have ever attempted.  I was a little out of it due to lack of sleep so I didn’t communicate too well.  I am so thankful to all the help that stepped up to the plate.  LC, Patty, Harry, Judy, Banita, Tim, Carletta, Charles, Roy, Renea, Penny, Stella, David, Pam, Ricky, Mike, Johnny, Rita and friends, Irene, Donna, Pat, Gary, David, Kelly and too many more to mention.  Jimmy, Thomas and LC stayed to the very end helping Ronnie take down equipment on the stage.  We finally reached our motel at 10:30 that night happy everything went so well but give out.  Ronnie’s back was testy all day Sunday, but a little ice and a lot of prayer and he is good to go again today.  I hope to have the pictures posted on our site soon.  Thank you once again for coming and your kind comments.  We are blessed with such good friends.

One week and counting…

Monday, August 17th, 2009

We are down to the last week before Pickin in the Park.  We are finalizing all the details as we travel home tonite.  We will start setting up equipment on Friday so everything will be finished and ready to go by Saturday morning.  If you are coming to the concert or in the Wilkesboro area and would like to volunteer to help set up equipment, help park cars or whatever else comes up…send me an email at trammellministry@aol.com and I will give you some details of what we need.  Ronnie will be setting up speakers and running cables while I am setting up food preparation tables and getting the dvd equipment ready on Friday.  We are excited about every new undertaking and are expecting to hear great reports from this concert.

Pastor Eddie Moyer and his family is coming to join with us from Aiken, South Carolina.  Some of you may have heard them in our Spring Retreat in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.  Then today we received a call from the Brazell’s, a well known southern gospel group from the Augusta, Georgia area and they are coming to be with us also.  Many of you may have heard the Brazell’s in your churches or heard Ramona in our November Annual Ladies Retreat  down through the years.  We are so happy both of these groups are going to be with us.  We have been in contact with all the groups  and singers that are already scheduled and they are also making their last minute preparations to be with us and to be a blessing to you on Saturday.

We are also excited to report that because of the flyers we have posted in Sparta, North Carolina and surrounding areas, Zac and Cody Hamm have a concert lined up already!  Congratulations guys….we are so proud of you!  See you Saturday.  Becky and Ronnie

3 weeks and counting!

We are so excited about our first Pickin in the Park in Wilkesboro, NC.  Ronnie and I are traveling there and and to every town within 45 miles to place vinyl signs advertising the free concert.  We have more door prizes coming in…free night stay at Holiday Inn Express (thanks to Matt Mayberry for such a kind contribution)…gift card from Golden Corral and of course the gift card from Applebee’s, and the $50 Visa gift card.  We are hoping to pick up a few more tomorrow on our trip.  We have located the Fender accoustic guitar that will be the grand prize….signed by all singers….and will pick it up Tuesday.  We are finishing up supplies, food, drinks…everything is falling into place.

Ronnie designed a t-shirt with a list of all singers in the shape of a guitar pick on the back of the shirt and Pickin in Park 2009 on front.  We have ordered several sizes and colors and are looking forward to see how they turn out.

We have sent flyers to our pastors.  If you have not received yours, please email and let us know.

Everyone has been so kind to volunteer to help us serving food, work the dvd camera, take pictures, watch t shirt and tape tables, set up equipment and keep everything moving smoothly.  We are so fortunate to have friends that love the work of the Lord and love to be a part of the work.

We hope you are making plans now to join us.  Keep us in your prayers as we finalize all the details and get down to the deadline.  We so want to see lives touched and souls saved because of the anointing of the Holy Ghost.

Remember, you can call Holiday Inn Express for a special rate of $75 by mentioning He Died For Me concert.  They have been very kind to donate the free room for a door prize and furnish all the ice needed for the concert.  See you on the 22nd!

Visit to Pickin in Park

Sunday, July 19th, 2009

Ronnie and I made a visit to the W. Kerr Scott Park in Wilkesboro, North Carolina today.  The amphitheater is more than I could have imagined.  There is seating for 800-900 on the side of a hill facing the Forest Edge Amphitheater.  At the top of the hill is the Laura Shelter with enough seating for another 150.  I will post more pictures on our bulletin and concert pages on our site. There are picnic tables for us to sit and eat barbeque chicken and pork, hot dogs and snacks while we listen to all the singing!

We have already started receiving door prizes…the banners have arrived…and the signs ready to be placed in Wilkesboro and surrounding towns.  We are starting to put out flyers in places of business and the radio announcements begin August 1. We have volunteers ready to help us run the camcorder, take pictures, watch our tape table, sell hot dogs and barbeque plates and just general last minutes things we haven’t thought of yet.  Please hold us up in prayer as we take on this new endeavor.  We believe the Lord will smile upon our effort and what we need most is His presence.

Holiday Inn Express has given us a special rate of $75 including a hot breakfast for mentioning He Died For Me group.  The manager also requested some flyers!  We had lunch in Applebees today and they gave us a gift card for a door prize and one of our pastors donated a $50 visa card to be given away.  Ronnie is giving for a grand prize a Fender accoustic guitar to be signed by all the singers.  Everything is starting to fall into place.  We are down to the last 5 weeks….hope to see you there!

Pickin in the Park

Thursday, July 16th, 2009

Ronnie and I are preparing for our first Pickin in the Park 2009 at the W. Kerr Scott Park on Saturday August 22.  We have ordered signs, banners and flyers to help advertise in the local area.  We are mailing flyers to our pastors inviting everyone to come join with us for a full day of singing, worship, and fellowshipping together in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.  We will have hot dogs with, of course, Ronnie’s favorite….mustard, chili and onions….along with nachos, snacks and Skinner’s Barbeque….boston butt and barbeque chicken…from Ronnie’s home area of Woodruff, South Carolina.  We are finalizing all our plans and getting excited at what the Lord is going to do in the midst of His people.  We invite you all to come by and spend the afternoon with us along with 17 other singers and groups from several different areas.  We will be posting motel information on our bulletin page soon.  We look forward to seeing you there!
