Praise God for Answered Prayer…

March 4th, 2010

Prayer Partners….you must read this email received from Tony’s Mom, Ann…thank you so much for your prayers….He has done it again!

PRAISE GOD THE PET SCAN SHOWED NO SIGNS OF CANCER AND THE LYMPH NODES THAT WERE SWOLLEN ARE GOING TO THE NORMAL SIZE.    TONY ‘S CASE WILL BE DISCUSSED BY THE DOCTORS AT A CONFERENCE AT THE HOSPITAL ON MONDAY.  HE WILL HAVE ONE MORE TEST AND HAVE A CT SCAN EVERY THREE MONTHS BECAUSE THE DOCTORS CAN’T EXPLAIN THE DIAGNOSIS OR NOT FINDING THE CANCER.  WE KNOW THAT GOD STEPPED ON THE SCENE AND JESUS KNOCKED CANCER AND THE DEVIL OFF THEIR FEET.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR CONTINUED PRAYERS AND SUPPORT FOR TONY AND OUR FAMILY.  AT THE EXACT TIME TONY WAS HAVING THE PET SCAN GOD WAS SPEAKING TO DAVID .  HE TOLD HIM THIS WAS NOT TONY’S BATTLE, NOT TO LOOK AT THE SITUATION, CIRCUMSTANCES OR EVEN THE OUTCOME THAT THIS SITUATION WAS TO BRING GLORY TO HIM. TO GOD WE GIVE ALL THE GLORY!!!

WE HAVE BEEN STRESSED, STRETCHED, AND SLEEPLESS BUT OUR FAITH HAS PREVAILED AND OUR TRUST IN GOD HAS ONCE AGAIN BEEN STRENGTHENED.

IN HIS SERVICE,

DAVID AND ANN

I received this message on facebook and Kathleen gave my permission to post on our blog for all our prayer partners….Please join with us in praying for Kathleen’s family.

Hello Sis. Becky. I am asking for urgently needed prayer for my family. My 29 year old daughter was killed in a car wreck last night, and we need the touch that only the Lord can give. We must have the comfort that only Jesus can give. My son died in a similar way on Feb 14, 2000 and we are all just stunned…..God is still God and God is still good. I will praise Him and lift Him up always, but this is so difficult…..Love you guys so much, praying for you too. Bless you, Kathleen Hogue.

Wait on the Lord…

February 16th, 2010

“the Creator…faints not, neither is weary…He gives power to the faint and to them that have no might, he increaseth strength. Even the youth shall faint and be weary and young men shall utterly fall.  But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run & not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.”  Teach me Lord to wait…

Campmeeting a great success!

February 3rd, 2010

This year’s Winter Campmeeting with the Bible Church in Johnson City, TN was exactly that…winter!  We had a snow storm on Friday and Saturday that made the crowd a little smaller (not much) but with no hamper on the anointing.  If anything, those who tried so hard to get here received such a touch of the Lord.  His presence was amazing…we had deaf ears opened, deliverance from depression, refreshing, refilling, rededicating…old time Holy Ghost outpouring…rejoicing, singing, preaching…true campmeeting services!

The ladies of Bible Church fed everyone after the morning meetings and everything was delicious…homemade chicken salad, homemade soups, cakes, baked spaghetti and salad…did I say delicious!  They surely have a servant’s heart.

We would like to thank everyone at the Bible Church for their hospitality and open door.  Also a word of thanks to all the pastors and friends that traveled so far to be a part of the campmeeting.  It takes all of us together to bring about such a great meeting.  Thank you and hope to see you again real soon.

Ronnie needs prayer…

February 3rd, 2010

We went to Ronnie’s asthma doctor today for checkup…he’s had some trouble breathing since he got sick the middle of January during the cold snap.  Doctor says he has touch of pneumonia and started him on an antibiotic.  Please keep him in prayer…until he bounces back!  Thank you.

Campmeeting has begun!

January 28th, 2010

We had our first night at Winter Campmeeting 2010 in Johnson City, Tennessee tonight and it was great!  We had a great crowd and great Presence…I love when He shows up!  Mike preached so great and we all joined in and preached with him.  We were so happy to see Pastor Jeff Shifflett from Virginia where our next campmeeting will be in April.  We look forward to more of our friends coming in tomorrow and Friday…to see what He has in store for us all!  Hope to see you this week!

Pray for Lori’s family…

January 25th, 2010

Many of you will remember Lori…she was saved in our meeting off drugs and 5 weeks later shot and killed by a drug dealer.  I have told her story at many of our services over the past 2 years.  Her mom called me to request prayer.  He received a guilty sentence and is serving time but lawyers are trying to get it reversed to time served and he will be back on the street after 2 years in prison for her murder and the death of her unborn 4 month baby.  They go to court on Thursday…please pray with us that he will not be released but will be forced to serve his time…the family is concerned for their well being if he is released.  We value your prayers.  Thank you.

Winter Campmeeting is here!

January 23rd, 2010

Our Winter Campmeeting at the Bible Church at 715 King Springs Road in Johnson City, Tennessee with Pastors Bo Barnes and Gary Hyder will begin Wednesday, January 27 at 7:30PM and Thursday through Saturday 10:00AM and 7:30PM.  There will be pastors and evangelists from many different areas joining with Ronnie and I, Mike Ferree and Cecil Hamby for this great time of refreshing.  You won’t want to miss it!  We have a group rate through Bible Church at the Quality Inn for $45 per night.  See our Campmeeting Page for details and phone number.  Make your plans now to attend!

Prayer Request

January 19th, 2010

Please pray for my uncle Allen…he is 80 and they are going to do open heart surgery this week…his blood is calcifiying in arteries in his heart.  It has affected his ability to remember how to do simple things at home.  We believe God and are expecting to hear another report of victory!  Thank you for standing with us in prayer.

Revival dates incorrect!

January 15th, 2010

We are in revival at the Place of Refuge Church in Fort Pierce, FL.  I had Thursday-Friday, January 14-16 on our site and on the flyers.  The dates are right…the days are wrong.  It should read Thursday-Saturday, January 14-16.  Please forgive my mistake…if you are in the Fort Pierce area, hope to see you this weekend!  See Revival Schedule page for more details!

Prayer requests coming in…

January 14th, 2010

I received this email from my niece today…

Will you guys please pray again for my friend Jacklyn’s brother in law, Tony? He’s the one with the incurable, inoperatable brain tumor, that was stationed in Germany. He has been on a drug trial in D.C. since Oct or Nov but today they couldn’t get him awake, keep his eyes open. He can no longer swallow or use the bathroom on his own, can only grunt & groan. She asked me to pray that, if God is not going to heal him, he would pass soon and peaceably. He was put in ICU today at Walter Reed, I think. He’s 33. Has 3 kids, ages 11 months to 6 years. Thank you.  ~ @mY ~

We also received a call from our pastor in Summerville, SC where we were just in revival last week.  Their organ player’s son is in ICU with double pneumonia…they put him in an induced coma last night and told the family he may only live 24 hrs.  He is in his mid 20’s.  We need to stand together for these two requests…our God is a miracle worker.  Thank you prayer partners.  Becky

Prayer for Kathy’s Dad

January 13th, 2010

Please pray for Kathy’s dad in Wilkesboro, North Carolina.  She called me today for prayer for her dad.  They have admitted him into the hospital with hallucinations…he is 80 years old.  They are changing his medicine but not getting any better.  Her mom is staying at the hospital trying to keep him calm.  Kathy has walking  pneumonia and double ear infection and is helping take care of mom and dad.  Their family needs a touch from the Lord soon.  Please join with me as we touch the heart of God.

Prayer for Jimmy

January 8th, 2010

We are preaching in Fort Pierce next week and Jimmy is scheduled for surgery next Thursday…he has kidney stone 5mm (size of end of your thumb) and they are going to blast it and let him pass the pieces.  Until then, they are keeping him on pain meds.  Please agree with us that the Lord will intervene in this and move for Jimmy.  Thanks prayer partners.

Many prayer requests today…

January 5th, 2010

I have had many prayer requests today…my brother, Bobby, that had staph on his knee was in ER today with allergic reaction to antibiotic…rash over all his body and muscle aches…they have stopped meds, added new antibiotic and gave Benedryl shot…he is out of town working…please hold him up in prayer until we see total healing in that knee.

We visited Ronnie’s close friend, Ben, today in SC….he is taking chemo and radiation for cancer at bottom of esophagus…having a very hard time…let’s hold him up in prayer for complete healing.

Pastor Peggy from Florida, some ladies from retreat will remember, her husband is battling MRSA in lungs and blood clot in lung…he needs us to stand together in prayer for him…we will see them next week in meeting…believing God for a real touch in His body.

We are receiving prayer requests on our facebook, through email and our cell phone…there are many needs right now.  Let’s hold up the body of Christ as they walk through these difficult situations.  Thank you for your prayers.

Happy New Year!

January 1st, 2010

“But the land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the rain of heaven: a land which the Lord thy God careth for: the eyes of the Lord thy God are always upon it, from the begtinning of the year even unto the end of the year.”  Deut 11:11, 12

This is so true a story of what has been behind us and what lies ahead.  It is a journey of hills and valleys.  A journey the Lord cares for and His eyes are forever upon His seed from the beginning of the year to the end.  My confidence today is that I will face nothing this year that He will not be with me to carry me through to the other side.

I pray 2010 will be a great year for you….great in health, happiness, prosperity, peace, joy and the love of friends and family!

Prayer Request…

December 30th, 2009
Please stand with us in prayer for Sister Betty’s brother (pastor friend from South Carolina)…

My focus today is my brother Bobby. He has been in the emergency room in critical condition 3 times in the past 10 days and is now in the hospital - being held in emergency because threre are no rooms available. This is a very dangerous place for him to be, because his immune system has completely shut down. He has been bleeding out the nose and throat for 24 hours. One of his lungs has filled with fluid - they do not know what - and they “think” they see a mass in this lung - which could be cloudy fluid, a mass, pneumonia, or something worse. He has been in horrible pain for the past 24 - 36 hours. My last phone call last night was at 2:30 this morning and the first one today was at 6 am. We need urgent prayer today for him. They plan to do 2 procedures on him today- and either of them could/might kill him - but it has to be done. They have to draw that fluid off and take pictures while that is happening so they can try to see what is happening. Our prayer is that he does not bleed to death from the needles & tubes piercing his flesh, and that the fluid stays gone if that is what is best for him. Also they are going to try to cauterize his nose - up really high - to try to stop the bleeding. Instead of sealing off the bloodflow, this could possibly also make him bleed to death. {He has a form of aplastic anemia.}His wife is exhaused, his children overwhelmed. My Mom and Sister are devastated.

We need a miracle. I have prayed for hours. The only thing I have heard from heaven is “love is strong as death”. I believe that our love for God and our fellow man keeps us praying in desperate situations. Today I need your love - to pray for my brother.

Betty
